Robin is also a trained Resolution Mediator and a Collaborative Lawyer, who is able to follow this process if it is suitable to meet the individual clients needs and to enable matters to be resolved amicably and as expediently and cost efficiently as possible.

Robin strongly believes in taking a cooperative and constructive approach with his cases and clients. Robin tries to ensure that he focuses on the individual clients wishes and needs and tries to assist in managing clients in what is often a very emotional and difficult time in their lives. Robin’s ability to communicate in plain English and to ensure that his clients understand their options fully before making a decision, make him a popular choice for clients. If however, it is clear that matters cannot be resolved without starting Court proceedings, Robin will promote his clients interest in a robust and pragmatic way.

Robin works closely with his personal assistants and paralegals in the Family Department.

Robin has also worked as a Criminal Lawyer and still remains a police and Court Duty Solicitor and so has a wealth of experience in criminal and cross related issues that can spill into Family Law.

Professional, responsive, and trustworthy firm. We recently purchased a house with Askews. We were reassured and confident throughout the entire process, every question answered and detail explained. As first time buyers, we were nervous and worried but were put at ease through their clear and thorough communication.

Sumera was quick to respond to my request for legal support relating to VR and kept me regularly updated through what turned out to be a protracted process (on the part of the employer). I was grateful for her advice and support throughout, particularly when I needed bespoke changes to make the agreement fit for my context. Sumera was tenacious and assertive on my behalf, and kind and communicative when liaising with me, earning my trust and respect early in the process.
