Residential Conveyancing

Guiding you through your property transactions

Whether you are buying or selling a home, extending a lease, transferring equity, or require any other property-related service, attention to detail is essential.

Property transactions are the single most significant financial investment most of us make in our lifetimes, and as such, the correct legal checks and balances must be put in place to protect your best interests.

While completion of your transaction promptly is desirable, this must be balanced with legal thoroughness and ensuring your funds are protected.

We are a diverse, multi-lingual law firm based in Coventry and Warwickshire with solicitors who use best-in-class technology to provide clients with streamlined, modern, and highly effective residential property law advice and representation.  Our years of experience in residential conveyancing law means we have a robust reputation for excellence with the UK’s best Estate Agents, Independent Financial Advisers, Surveyors, and Mortgage Brokers who can bring additional support to our Residential Conveyancing Department if required.

We hold a Law Society Conveyancing Quality Accreditation, meaning that our solicitors are recognised as having the capability to provide quality conveyancing advice, use a regulated process to recognise and reduce risk, and meet Law Society standards when providing conveyancing services.

How we work

Given the high value and importance placed on buying and selling property, the process can seem stressful and overwhelming.  Our Residential Property Solicitors practicing across Coventry, Kenilworth, Nuneaton, Rugby, Warwickshire, the Midlands and beyond will work from the outset to reassure you, make recommendations to protect your interests, and handle all of the details on your behalf.  We will make sure your conveyancing transaction is as stress-free as possible and will keep you updated each step of the way.

We are proud of our personal service to all our clients and where possible we are always available by phone and will respond to your email within 24 hours.  You can rest assured we offer a fixed fee service and flexible appointments at our Coventry office.

We will leave no stone unturned when handling your property transaction.  Each member of our property law team has the experience and resources available to ensure that every aspect of your case which requires attention will be spotted, brought to the fore, and managed.  Whether it is a particular aspect of the title deed which we believe requires clarification or change, an additional search we recommend, the wording of your residential tenancy agreement, or any other detail, you can be assured our solicitors have an eye for detail and will bring these to your attention and recommend the best approach to move forward.

Why should I choose Askews Legal LLP when buying or selling my home?

If you are buying or selling a home, you can be assured that as SRA regulated Conveyancing Solicitors, we follow the strictest of guidelines to ensure your transaction is completed smoothly, with full attention to detail, and with the protection of your interests and funds always in mind.  Our conveyancing team are backed up by our other legal departments specialising in probate, estate planning, tax law, and estate administration, and will leverage this knowledge and experience where needed.  All our solicitors pride themselves on their attention to detail.  We will find any complications or minor details which could later cause problems with your property and recommend the best approach to move forward.  In addition, our processes and systems ensure that unnecessary delays are avoided, enabling your matter to be completed in the shortest time possible, but without compromising the quality of our service.

Below are some of the common questions we are asked about our residential property services.

Our property law team specialise in leasehold extensions throughout Coventry, Kenilworth, Nuneaton, Rugby, Warwickshire, and the Midlands. Lease extensions can be complex and, as such, if you have a lease that is coming up to 80 years remaining, you must seek legal guidance on an extension as early as possible so you don’t become liable to pay the marriage value.  Our solicitors will provide the advice you need to avoid this situation and negotiate a lease that protects your future legal, financial, and property interests.

Transferring or releasing of equity you have built up in your property can offer considerable benefits if done correctly.  Our solicitors and their team will take the time to explore what you are trying to achieve before explaining your options and the pros and cons.  We will ensure that the equity instrument you choose is the correct one to meet your expectations, but also affords you the financial and legal protection you need.

Our legal team regularly supports clients across Coventry, Kenilworth, Nuneaton, Rugby, Warwickshire and the Midlands, but also across the whole of the United Kingdom. The distance between you and our office will have no effect on our ability to provide highly effective advice, representation, or services.
