Rebecca Howard

Technical Conveyancing Solicitor

Residential Conveyancing

Rebecca Howard is a technical conveyancing solicitor within the residential conveyancing department. Rebecca draws on her broad range of experience in property matters to provide technical support to the conveyancing teams.

Rebecca trained in Manchester at a legal aid firm in Moss Side, where her areas of practice were criminal defence, prison law, family, housing, immigration and actions against the police.

While she worked full-time as a trainee, Rebecca obtained her PGDL at the College of Law in Birmingham, before going on to do her LPC at the College of Law in Chester.

After qualifying in 2004, Rebecca relocated back to the Midlands and moved into conveyancing, which she has practiced ever since – with some forays into commercial property and agricultural law.

Rebecca was a partner at her last firm where, as well as fee earning, she managed the residential property department. Rebecca also implemented and maintained the anti-money laundering and legal practice compliance at her previous firm.

What Rebecca loves about the job: The ever-changing landscape of conveyancing, and the daily challenges this brings to the role in providing assistance to the fee earners and their teams.

The service I received from Askews from start to finish was nothing short of total excellence.I was using another law firm in Coventry for many years and due to that firm increasing their fees to an extortionate rate, I decided to look elsewhere, it’s then I found Askews and I’m so glad I did as it quickly became apparent that Askews Legal are the top legal firm in Coventry - their service and fees are unrivalled. If you are looking for a no nonsense legal firm, head straight over to Askews, it’s now my go to firm. 110% recommend.

Having agreed to terminate my employment I was informed I would need a solicitor to advise me on how this would affect my legal rights. I contacted Askews and was and found Harvin Dhillon to be knowledgeable and efficient. He persuaded my employers to adapt some of the conditions they were insisting upon and also to increase their contribution to my legal fees.I have no hesitation in recommending Askews to anybody seeking advice in this area.

Overall my experience of Askews selling my house was very positive and everything went pretty smoothly which was really good for me as I was not in the locality so could not visit the office.

I attempted to buy a house about 2 years ago, and it is only through completing on a house with Askews, that I really see how negligent my previous solicitors were.Maira Farouk and Hugh Thomas were absolutely AMAZING!They were super responsive, and spot on. I felt fully supported and aware of each stage of the process as a FTB.I really couldn't have asked for a better Solicitor to handle my case! Superb!
