Commercial Property Paralegal

Job Purpose:

Would you like to work with a forward thinking, ambitious, technologically advanced, full-service law firm?We are looking to recruit a Commercial Property Paralegal, or equivalent support personnel. This is a full-time position.The Commercial Property Team practice in a multitude of areas – development, finance and investment work – and covers commercial and residential development, infrastructure, investment and property finance, across a broad commercial sector.

The successful candidate will be required to assist the Team across the board. They will be expected to work as part of a partner-led team as well as independently (dependent on experience and project requirements).The candidate will be covering a broad spectrum of work assisting with landlord & tenant, acquisitions and disposals, development, sale and purchase contracts etc. for a mix of mainly private commercial sector clients.The candidate is expected to assist the team with:
  1. Title issues/and other due diligence;
  2. Preparing a spectrum of documents in commercial property transactions such as sale/purchase contracts, leases, licences to assign, rent deposit deeds;
  3. Bundling of key documents and assisting with report writing to clients;
  4. Supporting business transaction team with due diligence and other subsidiary matters;
  5. Liaise with clients effectively, accurately and in a timely manner;
  6. Taking accurate instructions and using initiative to action instructions on behalf of the team.
 In order to be considered for this sought-after role in this highly experienced team, you will have:
  • 2 + years’ experience in a Property team (preferably commercial)
  • A desire to qualify as a Solicitor (but this is not mandatory)
  • A common sense, down-to-earth approach and be a resilient problem solver
  • A desire to develop a deeper commercial understanding
  • An ability to communicate effectively and promptly with clients as directed by peers
  • Good time management, organisation and attention to detail
  • A willingness to assist fee earners working in a fast-paced, challenging environment
