Rebecca Howard

Technical Conveyancing Solicitor

Residential Conveyancing

Rebecca Howard is a technical conveyancing solicitor within the residential conveyancing department. Rebecca draws on her broad range of experience in property matters to provide technical support to the conveyancing teams.

Rebecca trained in Manchester at a legal aid firm in Moss Side, where her areas of practice were criminal defence, prison law, family, housing, immigration and actions against the police.

While she worked full-time as a trainee, Rebecca obtained her PGDL at the College of Law in Birmingham, before going on to do her LPC at the College of Law in Chester.

After qualifying in 2004, Rebecca relocated back to the Midlands and moved into conveyancing, which she has practiced ever since – with some forays into commercial property and agricultural law.

Rebecca was a partner at her last firm where, as well as fee earning, she managed the residential property department. Rebecca also implemented and maintained the anti-money laundering and legal practice compliance at her previous firm.

What Rebecca loves about the job: The ever-changing landscape of conveyancing, and the daily challenges this brings to the role in providing assistance to the fee earners and their teams.

What seemed to be nightmare of a sale turned into a beautiful dream when Mr. Pardeep Kandola got involved in the sale of my property. What was estimated at being between 16-20 weeks (with no chain) seemed like it was taking forever when we were 6, 7 months and still no talks of exchange due to issues on the other side.Frustration was high and when it was coming towards 9 months I had spoke to Mr. Pardeep Kandola who then I’d like to say diligently and single handed got in contact with the relevant people and copied me into everything. He was extremely thorough in pushing the final stages over the line and I’d like to thank him for his efforts and patience.Would recommend these guys and thanks again Pardeep will definitely be in touch again.

Ruth was my solicitor throughout my divorce journey which lasted nigh on 10 years. She was always supportive during this time and regularly gave me great advice which I am truly grateful for. I would highly recommend her for anyone going through a similar process.

We felt Askews ( Pavinder) had poor communication with us. If it wasn't for us communicating with our buyers and sellers we wouldn't have known what stage we were all at regarding our move. Constant asking what stage we were at and waiting for responses from them. It would have been less stressful if they updated us more.Their Portual was useless, especially when they hadn't checked to see if the right forms had gone on. Very frustrating sending the same form again and again. Took a few weeks for them to realiseWe thank Simran for her hard work near the completion of our sale and purchase and Shortland Horne ( Shelley) who took on the role off chasing things up between solicitors.Stressful experience
