Alexandra Davies
Alex’s interest in family and childcare law was first sparked during her childhood when her parents careers were closely involved with individuals under Local Authority care. During that time, Alex was exposed to all aspects of the Local Authority’s involvement within a child’s life and this provided her with an unique perspective. Alex pursued these interests further through her legal studies culminating in a master’s degree at Swansea University, during which she wrote a detailed dissertation analysing how the United Nations Convention on the rights of a child were implemented within UK legislation. Alex then went onto begin a legal career obtaining employment as a paralegal within a childcare department where she then progressed to beginning her training contract, spending two of her four seats within childcare department showing experienced solicitors in all aspects of childcare law, representing both family members and children within ongoing public law and private law proceedings.
In her role, Alex provides advice and assistance to parents and family members where there is Local Authority involvement, including circumstances where there is application to have a child or children removed from their parent or guardian or where there are concerns of a non-accidental injury occurring.
