Shaddy Salem

Paralegal

Shaddy Salem is a valued member of the Litigation and Debt Recovery team, where he brings a strategic and client-focused approach to resolving disputes. With a particular interest in Dispute Resolution developed during his Legal Practice Course, Shaddy was drawn to this area of law for its dynamic nature and the opportunity to approach each case with a fresh, tactical perspective.

Known for his strong research and drafting skills, Shaddy supports clients by providing clear, proactive advice at every stage of their matter. He ensures clients are regularly updated with the latest developments, including any potential risks, costs, and strategic options for moving forward. His ability to communicate effectively and his focus on client outcomes help to build trust and achieve practical, timely results.

Shaddy thrives in a collaborative environment and is always keen to support his colleagues. His calm, team-oriented approach makes him a reliable presence within the department, contributing to the smooth handling of often complex and time-sensitive matters. He believes that no two litigation claims are the same, and it is this variety that keeps him motivated and engaged in his work.

One of the standout moments in Shaddy’s career to date was independently negotiating a settlement between two large companies on the verge of terminating their contract due to an outstanding debt. Through successful mediation and a clear understanding of both parties’ objectives, he helped them reach an agreement and preserve their commercial relationship. Another proud achievement was completing his LPC while self-funding and working part-time – a reflection of his commitment and determination to succeed in the legal profession.

Outside the office, Shaddy enjoys unwinding through music and occasionally DJs for fun. When not spinning tracks, he can often be found relaxing at home with his two sphynx cats, Hades and Luci. His creativity, perseverance and client-first mindset make him a valuable asset to the litigation team.

We felt Askews ( Pavinder) had poor communication with us. If it wasn't for us communicating with our buyers and sellers we wouldn't have known what stage we were all at regarding our move. Constant asking what stage we were at and waiting for responses from them. It would have been less stressful if they updated us more.Their Portual was useless, especially when they hadn't checked to see if the right forms had gone on. Very frustrating sending the same form again and again. Took a few weeks for them to realiseWe thank Simran for her hard work near the completion of our sale and purchase and Shortland Horne ( Shelley) who took on the role off chasing things up between solicitors.Stressful experience
